8 Months

So I am officially in my 8th month of pregnancy. 32 weeks pregnant. Which means I am counting down the final 8 weeks!! I can't believe how fast it is starting to go by with the holidays and how much I feel like I still need to do...oh the never ending task of trying to be organized!!! Anyway, Noah and Brynn are getting anxious to meet their sister and mommy is getting anxious as I am now quite uncomfortable. The pictures don't really do my belly justice...I had an old lady But it will all be worth it! ask me at costco if I had 2 in there! I was like, no...just one. She proceeded to tell me maybe I would be surprised! I said, NO...we have had 7 ultrasounds!! Some people just need to keep their mouth shut!! Oh well. It will all be worth it though!!

Our Sunday Morning

Sunday was such a great day. We started off the morning getting ready and of course the kids played for a bit. Brynnley has been obsessed with the Narnia movies (The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe and Prince Caspian)! That morning I gave her an old skirt that had snags and such so she could play in it. I tied it on her and made it a dress she could play around the house in. I heard her in her room playing and pretending to be "Susan" from Narnia. Brandon looked to see what was up and started laughing. He said I had to come see. She had put the finishing touches on her outfit and was "Susan the Queen!" Ha ha. She is such a cutie.

Sunday was also Noah's very first primary program in sacrament meeting. He memorized his part: "I am grateful for my family because my mom and dad do things so well and cool for my sister and me!" He helped his teacher to come up with his part- so it was his own words. He looked very handsome and even asked to take the scriptures with him that day. He sat on stage and got up to the microphone when it was his turn. Into the microphone he said, "I can do it by myself." Of course people laughed. However...he did go on to do his part so well all by himself. I am one proud momma. I love him so much! He even sang all the songs so well.

The pictures of him and Brynn are before church. They were dancing together- mommy and daddy showed them:)

Halloween 2009

We had a great Halloween! We celebrated at our ward trunk or treat on Friday night. The kids carved (and painted) their pumpkin! Saturday we went trick or treating with my sisters and my dad. Travis was a SWAT guy and Nicholas was a garden nome. Baby Sawyer was a penguin. It was lots of fun. The kids picked out their costumes this year! Noah wanted to be bumblebee transformer and Brynnley was sleeping beauty! They looked adorable and had so much fun! I loved watching how into it they BOTH were this year. Noah was keeping up with the big boys and was at the front of the line for each house:) Happy Halloween!!

7 months!

So...I don't know how the whole weeks vs. months thing goes in pregnancy...but I do consider 28 weeks the start of my 7th month:) So here is me just over 28 weeks! I feel like I have TOTALLY popped out the last month. My belly has grown a ton! Lets hope this baby isn't 9 lbs like her daddy! PLEASE be under 8 lbs for mommy's sake! Less than 12 weeks to go! Noah and Brynnley are getting anxious. They love to touch my belly and kiss it. They even sing to her. It is sweet. They keep asking if she can come yet! ALMOST KIDS ALMOST! They just know she can come after Christmas! I am due January 19...but I will take this little one the beginning of January if she would ever so kindly make her appearance then:) We will see!

Grandma's 60th Surprise Birthday!

Happy Birthday to Grandma! Grandma Allan turned 60 this week! For her birthday we went to Disneyland! She didn't know all that entailed though. We got there and hung out for awhile. She didn't know that Bob had made arrangements for her 3 daughters to all be there to surprise her. She did know her two sons would be there however! At lunchtime we found a little cafe to eat and up walked her 3 girls singing "Happy Birthday." She cried! It was sweet. Of course the kids had fun as well! They love disneyland and we all really had such a great time in great weather with lines that were not too long! Hooray! Noah went on a BIG ride for the 1st time- Space Mountain. No, I did NOT take him...my pregnant belly sat out. But daddy did! Brynnley even went on a big ride with Aunt Christy- the Mattahorn! They loved it. It was fun to all be together! Happy Birthday again to Grandma! We love you.

Pumpkin Patch

We took the kids to the pumpkin patch! They loved it. They looked so adorable in their fall outfits. I love watching them interact together. They are so good together...most of the time! They looked at the pumpkins and of course they played on the blow up jumpers- which by the way were ridiculously priced!! Oh well...it isn't too often we go to the pumpkin patch! We are excited for Halloween. This is such a fun time of year!

Rattlesnake in our YARD!!! AAH!

Today my friend and her little girl came over. Noah decided to open the front door and watch for them. He heard a wierd noise and said, "Mom, I think I hear a snake." He closed the door and I didn't think much of it considering he is 4 and doesn't know what a snake sounds like...or so I thought. Anyway, my friend got to our house a few minutes later and about 30 minutes after that the kids wanted to play outside in the yard. I said, "Ok, just let me go check for snakes!" I went in our yard, looked around, saw a baby lizard, and then...A RATTLESNAKE behind my trash cans! I RAN into my house. I said, "No one goes outside, there is a rattlesnake!!" I called animal control and they said to keep it in view if possible until they got there. Well...an hour later, and after the little sick thing slithered out of my backyard and onto my front porch...they FINALLY got there. The guy says, "Oh, this is a pretty good size." Um...yea...it was over 3 feet long! Anyway...he took it away! Hooray!! Crazy thing is my neighbor had just said a few days before, "we made it through the summer with no rattlesnakes!" I guess she spoke too soon. We have had 5 snakes in 1 year in our yard...this was the first rattlesnake...and I pray the last!
Here are some HORRIBLE pictures at the request of my husband. When I called and told him there was a rattlesnake and I called animal control...his response...take pictures!! So here they are:) YUCK!
So glad we are all ok though! It was scary!

Too Cute

My Cute Brynnley...I don't even need words!

T-BALL

Noah started T-Ball!! He had his first "game" this weekend. It was so cute to watch him. The kids look a little like chickens running around with their heads cut off as the couches and parents point which way the base is! But nonetheless it was so fun and cute to watch him. He is on the Cubs team! Go Noah!! We love you buddy!

6 months!

So I am 24 weeks...starting my 6th month of pregnancy! The whole 9 months thing is sooo confusing because really you go to 10 months of pregnancy! 40 weeks=10 months right?! Anyway...I am excited for January when this little babe will join our family. I love to feel her move. She is quite strong and loves to kick me at night...just about the time I try and fall asleep. I hope she doesn't keep it up after birth. I have already had one of those babies. Let's just say I really hope it isn't a girl thing! Please...can I have one of my girls be a good sleeper!!! Here is a recent belly picture! Less than 16 weeks to go! Three and a half months till my due date! Crazy!

My Sweet Noah

So yesterday I was having a rough night. I was missing my mom and thinking about other things and worries and such...no need to go into detail. I was sitting in my room having a moment...yes, crying! Noah came in and said, "Mommy, why are you crying?" To spare him some worries, I just said, "I just miss my mommy." He said, "Well I have fluffy (his stuffed animal) and fluffy is a girl, so she can be your mommy! Then you don't have to cry. You can only cry when you get hurt or walk into walls and stuff!" It was so cute. How could I not smile. He does cheer me up. I don't know what I would do without my children or husband. A few minutes later I was still trying to stifle my tears and he said, "You earned a kiss mom!" He then gave me a big kiss on my cheek. Then he said, "And Faith earned one too!" He then kissed my belly. (We are naming this little girl Faith by the way:)) It was so sweet. I love him so much! He just says the sweetest little things and can make my sad moments into memories I will forever cherish.

Back to School for Noah!

Noah started his first day of preschool today! This is his second year! He loves it! He has a new teacher this year. Her name is Mrs. Bashaw. He was so excited today. I am so proud of my little man. He is growing too fast and it makes me a little sad to look back on pictures of him and realize how fast time flies. I want to be more in the moment with him...each and every moment so that I don't miss anything. I cherish these years...even the constant bickering:) I love him so much. Last night his daddy gave him his first Father's Blessing for preschool. The first of many at the start of a new year. Noah folded his arms and closed his eyes the whole time. I will NEVER forget that. I had to peek and I had tears in my eyes as I watched and listened. I am so very blessed!

5 months pregnant!

I am 5 months pregnant! Some people say I look small for 5 months...some people say I look farther along...who knows! I feel big! I love feeling her move! It is the BEST feeling in the world! Here are some 5 months pictures I took in Hawaii!

Kauai- my little heaven on earth!

Brandon and I got to spend 4 days in Kauai! It was truly soooo beautiful. I was in heaven! It was perfect because we had just celebrated our 6 year wedding anniversary and it was great to just be together...the two of us! Thanks to Courtney and to Bob and Janet for watching Noah and Brynnley! We really needed this little vacation!

Here is a run down of the 4 days:
Day 1- We got to Kauai in the afternoon, checked in to the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in! The hotel was the Marriott resort and beach club in Lihue. We then went and at dinner overlooking the ocean from Duke's restaurant.
Day 2- We got up early and decided to drive around one side of the island. We wanted to see Kipu falls, so we finally found a little trail...if you can call it a trail...through a jungle basically. After crossing rocks through a river, we came to the waterfall. There was a rope swing so you could jump into the lake beneath the falls. Brandon jumped off of that and off of the top of the waterfall. Being about 5 months pregnant...I took pictures! Oh...and I got eaten alive by mosquitoes. I didn't realize how bad it was until that night...I counted 86 bites! So incredibly itchy...I wanted to cry:( We also ate lunch at a little hamburger place called Bubbas. We found a pretty private beach and laid out and we drove around some more.
Day 3- We woke up early again...off to get Benedryl and Caladryl for my legs! Then drove to some more waterfalls and we got to see the Grand Canyon of the South Pacific! I think it is called Waimea?! We went all the way up to the north and drove through princeville and to the top...as far as you can drive...to see the caves. Literally you can drive the whole island (the perimeter) in like 1 1/2 hours! We found a beach called "Secret Beach" It was SO beautiful and secluded. We hiked over a lot of rocks and found Lava Pools. We came to a little waterfall and got to see the lava pools and where the fresh water meets the ocean. It was amazing to see! I have never seen anything like it! I barely made the hike back up to the street...it was steep, I was hot and pregnant! ha ha! We went back to the hotel and swam in the ocean, the pool and then we headed out for dinner. We went to dinner in Poipu at a restaurant overlooking the ocean called "The Beach House." We got our reservation right at sunset and it was beautiful! A great last night in Kauai.
Day 4- We laid out by the pool, drove around, got souvenirs for the kids, ate lunch at Kalapaki Beach Hut and laid in a hammock for 2 hours. Then we were off to our red eye flight back home! We arrived home the next morning, early, and it was great to see Noah and Brynnley! We missed them so much! It was great to hug them and hold them again!

It was a wonderful trip! The island was beautiful and lush! There were chickens and roosters all over the place! The oceans were amazing and to see so many beautiful waterfalls was fun. I guess all of Brandon's traveling has some benefits...free hotel, free rental car and ALMOST free airfare! No wonder we splurged on yummy food!

It's Another Girl!!

Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice! We are excited to be having another little girl in January! At least...it looks that way. I keep hearing more and more stories where people are told they are having a boy or girl and they end up having the opposite! But it looks like a girl! I am excited for Brynnley to have a sister close in age. I think it is good for girls!
So I got home from the ultrasound and asked Noah, "What do you think Mommy is Having?"
Noah said, "Boy!"
I said, "No, it is actually a girl, you are gonna have another sister."
He tried to fight the tears for a minute or two...but after being mad, he couldn't hold back. He first tried to hit me, then put his head in my lap and bawled his eyes out! Poor kid. He said he wanted "a boy to play swords, NOT a girl to play princesses!"
I tried to reassure him through his, "take it back and get a boy!" and his "that is why I wanted to go to the Dr. with you!" But NOTHING was working! Finally I said, "If you will be happy I will take you to McDonald's for lunch!" Ha ha! I have never been so thankful for a Happy Meal and play ground in my life! I will say he is now happy to have a little sister again. He realizes he will get more one on one boy time with daddy! He already loves her and will come pat my tummy! So thankful:)
Oh...and then I asked Brynn what she thought it was...No, not a sister...she said "Boy!" Luckily she was Ok that it is a girl! Still...am I the only one happy to have a girl!!?? I think everyone is excited now at least!
